ABOUT US We live in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, situated underneath the Zagreb Mountain, (Zagrebacka Gora, also known as Medvednica ) and it's peak Sljeme (1033m). Zagreb has a lot to show, its Gornji Grad ( Upper Town) with St Mark's Square, and St Mark's Church, also St Katherine's Church just nearby, and the Lotrscak Tower. From this spot you have a beautiful view stretching from the Ban Jelacic Square, across the city's "green horseshoe"( the city's parks and promenades) to Novi Zagreb (New Zagreb) and further (if you are arriving from the direction of the Adriatic, Italy, BiH, SiCG). If you gaze to the right your eyes will follow Ilica, our main and longest street, on whose end the west gate of Zagreb is situated (SLO,I, A). To your left you will be able to see the Cathedral with it's two proud bell towers, further on the city's largest park Maksimir and the Zagreb Zoo ( a reminder of what every urbanized human carries within him, the desire for the freedom that animals enjoy in the wild). After Maksimir come Dubrava and the east gate to Agram ( an old name for Zagreb) (SLO,A,H,SiCG). And while you look upon the beauties of fair Zagreb your back will be guarded by the refreshing greenery of another park, Cmrok, and of course Medvednica, also referred to as Zagreb's lungs, with it's many opportunities for sport and recreation (hiking, walking, trekking, mountain biking, skiing...). As you can see, Zagreb is not only the city of my birth, but also my favorite city, full of eminent institutions and beauties, such as the Botanical Gardens, Jarun ( a lake the citizens love to call Zagreb's Seaside) Cibona's Tower and the Drazen Petrovic Sport's Hall , Croatian National Theater and the V.Lisinski Concert Hall... Zagreb is also rich in sport clubs: football club Dinamo, basketball club Cibona, handball club Zagreb, water polo club Mladost, hockey club Medvescak, and a multitude of others that have proudly defended the colors of Croatia in world tournaments ( red, white and blue, with the checkered coat of arms and simbols representing Istria,Dalmatia, Dubrovnik, Slavonija&Baranja, Medjimurje& Podravina,Posavina, Lika, Gorski Kotar i Hrvatsko Zagorje which are Croatia's regions). And of course I must not fail to mention BBB (Bad Blue Boys), Zagreb's fans who support these clubs, and share their heart with the city. I wanted to keep my description short in introducing you to Zagreb and the renowned characteristics by which you can find us, I could always say more. If I managed to interest you in learning more about Zagreb you can visit these pages: http://www.zagreb.hr . Underneath the cool forest of Mednednica and the old ruins of Medvedgrad ("Bear City". an old fort) lies my neighborhood, Gracani, full of restaurants that can be noted either for their tradition, or originality, but above of all by their tasty gourmet selection and hospitality which will satisfy even the choosiest! Our kennel was named "Od Siraca" after the birthplace of my father Kresimir, who was the kennel's founder. But the success of our kennel would not have been possible without the help and support from my mother, sister and brother. And let me introduce the writer of this text - myself- Branimir Reindl, dr.vet.med. and exterior and trial judge for the VII and VIII FCI group. As a competitor in working exhibitions, I have achieved many results with dogs from my own breeding. I was the representative of the Pointer and Spaniel Club for eight consecutive years at various State Championships. Among my more important results I would like to mention winning the Croatian Pointer Trial Championship 2000 , and gaining the title of Vice Champion St.Hubert 2002. I was also three times winner in Pointer Trials and St Hubert, and twice Vice Champion St Hubert in district competitions. I took part in five world championships as the Croatian representative ( in Portugal, Netherlands, Czech Republic, France and Croatia).
